FLV MP3 Converter converts QCP to SPX (Speex) easily and quickly. Speex is an Open Source/Free codec patent-free audio compression format designed for speech. The Speex codec aims to lower the barrier of entry for voice applications by providing a free alternative to expensive proprietary speech codecs. Moreover, Speex is well-adapted to Internet applications and provides useful features that are not present in most other codecs.

FLV MP3 Converter is also a professional audio conversion software. The software supports almost any video and audio formats such as FLAC, M4R (iPhone ringtone), WAV, AMR, M4A (MPEG-4 audio), ALAC (Apple Lossless), OGG, MPA, WMA, AAC for iPod/iPhone/iPad/iTunes/DSi, etc. It could convert THD to AMR, MOV to MMF, DVD to MKA, RA to AU, VOB to MKA, AIFF to DTS, MKA to MMF, TS to AAC for iPod/iPhone/iPad/iTunes/DSi, and so on.

FLV MP3 Converter supports batch conversion and, is full compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Vista and Windows 7.

What is QCP?
Qualcomm PureVoice QCELP recoder and player voice file. Qualcomm's PureVoice® products offer a range of superior voice and audio enhancement software for CDMA products. Optimized for Qualcomm's Mobile Station Modem (MSM™) device platforms, the PureVoice product suite consists of voice recording technology, voice recognition software and audio automatic gain control.

PureVoice Voice Recording technology provides landline-quality voice transmission that operates at variable encoding rates in order to take advantage of natural pauses in human speech. The high-quality, high-compression solution is useful for store-and-forward as well as streaming applications, and the technology accommodates erasures (dropped data), resulting in better performance on real-time applications.

PureVoice Audio Automatic Gain Control (AGC) provides the highest quality stereo enhancement software available for Qualcomm's MSM platforms, enabling CDMA handset manufacturers a simple "drop-in" solution for enhancing the sound quality and usability of their phones. PureVoice AGC is most effective in adverse noise conditions where background noise would otherwise prevent intelligible phone conversations.

SpeexWhat is SPX?
Speex is a patent-free audio compression format designed for speech and also a free software speech codec that may be used on VoIP applications and podcasts. It is based on the CELP speech coding algorithm. Speex claims to be free of any patent restrictions and is licensed under the revised (3-clause) BSD license. It may be used with the Ogg container format or directly transmitted over UDP/RTP. The Speex designers see their project as complementary to the Vorbis general-purpose audio compression project. Speex is a lossy format, meaning quality is permanently degraded to reduce file size. Speex is based on CELP and is designed to compress voice at bitrates ranging from 2 to 44 kbps. Some of Speex's features include:

  • Narrowband (8 kHz), wideband (16 kHz), and ultra-wideband (32 kHz) compression in the same bitstream
  • Intensity stereo encoding
  • Packet loss concealment
  • Variable bitrate operation (VBR)
  • Voice Activity Detection (VAD)
  • Discontinuous Transmission (DTX)
  • Fixed-point port
  • Acoustic echo canceller
  • Noise suppression

Note that Speex has a number of features that are not present in other codecs, such as intensity stereo encoding, integration of multiple sampling rates in the same bitstream (embedded coding), and a VBR mode.
